Sweet Mother Logic (2007-2012) #

Between 2007 to 2012, I was a core member of the 5-piece Sweet Mother Logic.

Our songwriting was a fairly democratic process. We would record improvised sessions, and then whittle them down into carefully crafted songs. I played an assortment of keyboardsβ€”piano, rhodes, synthesizers, and organ. We performed many shows in and around Montreal, at venues ranging from diy spaces to concert-halls. After many fun years, I decided to put my animation career in focus. While I could no longer contribute to the band, I value the time spent creating and performing music, as it has significantly influenced my creative approach in all domains.

Here are some of the songs I'm particularly fond of:

Inspirations include (but not limited to) Philip Glass, Terry Riley, Torngat, The Bad Plus, and Penguin Cafe Orchestra.
